Zoo of León
The Leon Zoo has hundreds of animals and attractions, such as safaris, miniature train rides and picnic areas. Also known as Zooleón, it opened its doors in 1979. Concerned about the national fauna, peacock bass, Mexican gray wolf, golden eagle and other species have reproduced in its facilities. You can tour the seven hectares in its Safari or Night Safari, although the latter only takes place on the last Friday of each month. The León Zoo was founded on September 19, 1979
In this zoo live 1100 specimens of 180 different species, among them there are Mexican species in danger of extinction such as the Mexican gray wolf, the tapir and the curassow, which is one of the fifty rarest species in the world, endemic to southern Mexico and Guatemala and has not managed to reproduce in any zoo in the world except this one. In addition, in the zoo there is the Macrocage, the largest cage for birds of prey in the world, with impressive specimens such as the golden eagle, bald eagle, red-tailed hawk, and Virginian owl. Also, there are 7 unique species that are not found in any other zoo in Mexico: warthogs, Amur leopards, flying foxes, mongoose lemurs, kamchatka bears, sloth bears and raccoon dogs.

Explore Science Center
Explora is one of the best known and best equipped museums and interactive science centers in Mexico and Latin America. It is located in Leon, Guanajuato.
The main resources of the Explora Science Center, in 10,200 m2 of built area, are:
• Six thematic rooms with exhibitions, most of them interactive.
• Leonardo Da Vinci IMAX Theatre, with 296 seats and a large-format 3D film projection system (in three dimensions).

Distrito Mx
A large and modern complex is changing the face of León, Guanajuato. This is the León MX District, which is part of the Polígono León MX, composed of the Polifórum, the León State Fair, the Cultural Forum and the Board of Explora.
These works, delivered on Wednesday night by Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, total an investment of more than 232.8 million pesos and were carried out on an area of 38,418 square meters, between squares and buildings with inclusive spaces.

Bajio Aquarium
The Bajío Aquarium has around 10,000 specimens of more than 300 species, including sharks, rays, jellyfish, reef fish, turtles, crocodiles, among many more; which can be seen throughout 11 exhibition areas with a life support system capable of daily filtering more than 22 million liters of water from the Gulf of Mexico, as well as a specialized area to supervise, feed, preserve and reproduce the species made up of biologists, veterinarians, farmers and engineers.
