The Diocesan Expiatory Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus also known simply as "El Expiatorio" is a temple dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus located in León, Guanajuato, in Mexico. It is neo-Gothic in style. Its construction began on July 8, 1921 and was (supposedly) completed on March 20, 2012 with the visit of Pope Benedict XVI. It is located within the territory of the Parroquia del Divino Redentor, in turn, in the Deanery of San Sebastián.

The León State Fair is an event that takes place every year between the months of January and February in León Guanajuato. In addition, in the zoo there is the Macrocage, the largest cage for birds of prey in the world, with impressive specimens such as the golden eagle, bald eagle, red-tailed hawk, and Virginian owl. Also, there are 7 unique species that are not found in any other zoo in Mexico: warthogs, Amur leopards, flying foxes, mongoose lemurs, kamchatka bears, sloth bears and raccoon dogs.

The city of León, Guanajuato, by order of its Municipal Council, has its official coat of arms, a faithful synthesis of the history and way of life of the people of León.
